November Chronicles: Gaming, Odd Socks & More - Hannah's Games 2023

November Chronicles at Hannah's Games

Hello, fabulous gamers and friends! It's Hannah here, excited to dive into our November diary. This month at Hannah's Games has been an absolute rollercoaster, filled with laughter, surprises, and the warmth of our growing community. So, grab a cuppa, and let's reminisce about the wonderful month that was November 2023!

A November to Remember

Our month kicked off with the much-anticipated, albeit not-so-frightening, Storm Ciaran. Schools may have closed, but our spirits soared as we munched on brownies, making the best of the blustery day at the office. November is always a special month for us Brits, with its unique blend of events – from the crackling excitement of Bonfire Night to the solemnity of Poppy Day, each occasion holds a special place in our hearts. And let's not forget the shopping frenzy of Black Friday as we hustled to stock up on Christmas goodies. Amidst this hustle, we at Hannah's Games had our hands full, ensuring our shelves were brimming with fun for everyone!

Stepping into Someone Else's Socks - Odd Socks Day!

One of the standout moments this month was our participation in Odd Socks Day on Monday, 13th November. As someone who's passionate about creating a bully-free world (having seen the impact of bullying first-hand in my previous role at a secondary school), this day means a lot to me. We donned our wackiest socks – even our office dog flaunted a funky pair! The highlight? Getting our post liked by Andy and the Odd Socks on Instagram! To learn more about this important cause, check out the Anti-Bullying Alliance's website here.

A Tip of the Hat to Damien - International Men's Day

This November, we also celebrated International Men's Day by paying tribute to the ever-charming Damien our erstwhile Operations Director. It's always a pleasure to highlight the positive role models in our little team. Damien's day is a reminder of the wonderful diversity and strength in our community. Missed our tribute? Fear not, you can relive the moment here.

Through a Different Lens - Hannah Gets Glasses!

On a more personal note, November brought a new perspective to my life – quite literally! After struggling to see the scores during the Rugby World Cup (big shout out to all the rugby fans!), I realized it was time for an eye test. Reluctantly, I agreed, and, much to my husband's delight (and my chagrin), he was right – I needed glasses. The world looks quite different now, and I'm loving every clear, crisp detail. Check out the rugby action I was watching (or missing 😜) here.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year - December Anticipation

Now, let's cast our eyes towards December, our most magical month at Hannah's Games. It's a whirlwind of activity as we welcome a flurry of customers, both our loyal regulars and new faces, eager to share in the joy of gaming. Our e-store is buzzing, and the team is all geared up to make this festive season unforgettable. We've been planning for months, and we're ready to spread cheer and fun in every package we send out.

For all the latest updates, sneak peeks, and fun, keep your eyes on our social channels (@hannahsgamesco) on Facebook and Instagram. We're heading towards a fantastic year-end, and we can't wait to share every moment with you.

Thanks for joining me on this journey. Here's to making more memories, sharing more laughs, and, of course, playing more games!

take care,
Hannah x
