A Warm Welcome and Insights from Successful Sellers

The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Hannah Hardiman, the Director of Seller Community & Engagement at eBay UK. She set the stage for a day filled with inspiration and valuable insights. One of the highlights of the morning was the Seller Panel: "How I Grew My Business on eBay." I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with amazing entrepreneurs like Jordon Trent, Vera-Jayne Nwajiaku, and Liam Smedley, hosted by none other than the fantastic Hannah Hardiman herself.

During this panel, we delved into our unique growth stories as eBay business sellers. Here are some of the questions we discussed:

- Tell us how you got started.
- How many people work in your business now?
- What kind of premises do you have?
- How do you manage your business? Do you use any software or tools?
- What's the biggest mistake you made along the way?
- What do you wish you'd known when you were starting out?

It was inspiring to hear everyone's journey, triumphs, and challenges. We all shared valuable tips and advice, making it a truly enriching experience.

Learning the eBay Tricks of the Trade

After a quick networking break and a caffeine boost, the day continued with sessions led by eBay experts. Samuel Zwaan, an eBay Shops Specialist, shared valuable insights on "How to Make the Most of Your eBay Shop." He provided tips and tricks to optimize our eBay Shops and listings, helping us create a more engaging and successful online presence.

The Seller Clinic was another highlight, featuring a panel of eBay experts ready to offer personalized advice on our eBay Shops and listings. These one-on-one sessions were invaluable, as the experts shared their expertise and helped us overcome specific challenges we faced in our businesses. A big shout-out to the amazing GCX team, who flew in all the way from Dublin to provide assistance. Their dedication and support were truly commendable!

Boosting Sales and Perfecting Promoted Listings

The afternoon sessions kept the momentum going with presentations on boosting sales and perfecting promoted listings. Torben Schwanke, Head of Seller Success at eBay, shared "Easy Ways to Boost Sales." His tips and strategies were not only practical but also incredibly inspiring. We left the session brimming with ideas to take our businesses to the next level.

Next up was Lukasz Zajdowski, a Senior Ads Partnerships Manager at eBay UK, who enlightened us on "Perfecting Promoted Listings." Learning how to effectively utilize promoted listings to reach a wider audience was eye-opening. Lukasz's expertise and insights provided a fresh perspective on advertising our products and expanding our customer base.

Collaborative Insights and International Selling

The day continued with the second panel, "Which eBay Selling Tools Work for My Business." My fellow panelists and I discussed the tools we used in our businesses and shared insights on how to leverage them effectively. We also had the opportunity to interact with the presenters from earlier sessions, asking questions and exchanging ideas.

In the international selling session, led by Josh McWilliams, UK Exports at eBay UK, we explored the world of cross-border trade via eBay's Global Shipping Programme (GSP). It was exciting to hear success stories from sellers who have expanded their reach to buyers in other countries. The session provided valuable information for those considering selling internationally.

Networking, Cheers, and a Big Thank You!

Of course, no event is complete without networking and a little celebration. The day wrapped up with a networking session where we had the chance to connect with other sellers, exchange contact information, and build meaningful relationships. It's always a joy to meet fellow sellers who understand the excitement and challenges of running an online business.
